Beauty Day in Hialeah — free hair, manicure, and makeup for our grandmothers
One of the things most lost with age is feeling beautiful. That's why, once a month, Xclusive Senior Care transforms into a full salon: advanced cosmetology students from Miami Dade College come to the center to offer haircuts, styling, manicures, and a touch of makeup — free for every member. Our grandmothers (and some grandfathers too) leave Beauty Day feeling like they did in their best years.
How Beauty Day works

1. Once a month, Friday afternoon
We announce the date two weeks ahead at the center and by WhatsApp to families. Each member picks the services they want — cut, style, manicure, light makeup.

2. Supervised Miami Dade College students
Senior-year cosmetology students come for supervised practice with their instructor present. For them it's real experience; for our grandmothers, loving attention.

3. Cafecito, bolero, and a salon atmosphere
We play Cuban music, serve cafecito and crackers, and turn the main hall into a salon with mirrors and warm light. It's a social event as much as a service.

4. Keepsake photos (with family permission)
We take a photo of every grandmother with her new look and send it to the family by WhatsApp. Many adult children haven't seen Mom this dressed up in years.
